What this right covers

Some US state privacy laws, California's in particular, give you the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information. Those words are defined broadly: they can cover disclosing information to advertising or analytics partners in exchange for something of value, even when no money changes hands.

This page is how you exercise that right with ActinGym.

What we never sell or share, whatever you choose

Some things are off the table by default, for everyone:

• Your self-tape videos and their audio. We do not sell, license, or trade your recordings.
• Anything derived from your face or your voice.
• The personal information of anyone we know to be under 16.

Option 1: turn on Global Privacy Control

The fastest method, and it applies automatically on every site that honours it. Global Privacy Control (GPC) is a setting built into some browsers and available as an extension for others. When your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a valid opt-out request the moment you arrive: our website analytics and session recording do not run at all.

Option 2: send us a request

Email hello@actingym.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share".

Please include the email address on your ActinGym account, so we can find the right records. If you do not have an account, tell us that and we will apply your request to the information we hold about your device.

We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and complete the request within 15 business days. If we need more information to verify who you are, we will ask, and we will only use what you send us to handle the request.

Someone acting on your behalf

An authorised agent may submit a request for you. We will ask for written proof that you gave them permission, and we may ask you to confirm it directly.

Your other rights

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to know what personal information we hold, to receive a copy, to correct it, to limit how we use sensitive information, and to ask us to delete it. Our Privacy Policy explains each of those rights and how to use them.

We will not penalise you for asking

Opting out does not change your price, your subscription, or the analysis you receive. It is the same product either way.
